The Miller Chair is our take on the classic mid-century school chair, a shape that has earned its place in restaurants and cafes for its honest construction and easy proportions. A slim powder-coated steel frame holds a curved wood veneer back and a molded veneer seat, and the rear legs flare and taper outward in the unmistakable profile that gives the design its character.
It is compact, light in appearance and easy to line up along banquettes or pull up to two-tops, which makes it a dependable everyday dining chair. Pair a natural oak veneer with a white or pale frame for a bright cafe, or go darker with walnut and a bronze or gunmetal frame for a more grown-up room. The Miller family also includes an arm chair, upholstered versions and matching bar and counter stools.
The Miller Chair is welded steel, not bolted, so the frame stays solid through constant use. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and it ships fully assembled from the factory. The frame carries a 3-year structural warranty, with the finish covered for 1 year from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.
Plan on about 24" per seat at tables; the narrow footprint makes the Miller a good choice where you need to maximize covers. See our restaurant seating layout guide for aisle and table spacing.
