Table Tops

Commercial Table Tops: Laminate, Wood, Stone and HPL

Table tops take the spills, the sanitizer and the bus tubs, so the surface matters more than the price. Designform supplies laminate, compact laminate (HPL), solid wood and butcher block, live edge planked tops, sintered stone, granite, quartz and all-weather outdoor tops in round, square and rectangular sizes.

Choosing a surface

  • Laminate and compact laminate. The workhorses for fast casual, cafés and patios. HPL handles wet counters and sunlight.
  • Butcher block and planked wood. Warmth for taprooms, tasting rooms and steakhouses, in ash, beech, white oak and walnut with stain options.
  • Stone and sintered stone. Marble, granite, quartz and sintered stone for upscale dining and hotel lobbies.
  • Sizes. 24–30" tops seat two, 36" seats four, and rectangular tops run communal. Allow about 24" of edge per guest.

Ordering

Tops ship separately from bases with hardware supplied, so your installer attaches them on site. In-stock tops ship in 2–3 days through Quick Ship; custom sizes and finishes run 14–20 weeks with rush options. Browse complete tables to see tops and bases already paired.

Restaurant Table Tops

Designform restaurant table tops come in laminate, solid wood, butcher block, stone and live edge, in standard square, rectangular and round sizes or cut to your plan. Tops that are finished after ordering ship in 1–2 weeks, and prefinished tops can ship in as little as 2–3 days.

Choosing a table top material

  • Laminate is the most economical and the easiest to keep clean, and suits high-turn cafés and fast casual.
  • Solid wood and butcher block bring warmth to steakhouses, bistros and breweries, and can be refinished over the years. We offer American black walnut and other hardwoods.
  • Stone and quartz suit upscale dining and bars; they are heavy, so pair them with a larger base.
  • Outdoor tops such as faux white marble and the quick ship La Jolla top are made for patios.

Our table top materials guide compares durability, upkeep and cost. For sizing, the table seating chart shows how many guests each top seats, and the table base sizing guide matches a base to it. Tops ship separately from table bases with hardware supplied, or see complete tables already paired.
