Faux White Marble Table Top Square Edge (Indoor/Outdoor)

The Faux White Marble Table Top Square Edge is a commercial table top specified for indoor and outdoor use. Faux marble is the look of a marble top without the porosity, the weight or the price. A practical choice for rooms that want a stone look and cannot maintain real stone.

Sizing and seating

Allow roughly 24" of table edge per guest and about 30" of depth. As a working rule a 24" x 30" top seats two, a 30" x 48" seats four, and a 36" round seats four comfortably. Square and round tops are easier to push together for large parties than rectangles of mixed sizes. Confirm available sizes and edge profiles with your rep before you lay out a floor plan.

Choosing a base

Match the base to the top, not just to the look. The heavier and wider the top, the heavier the base has to be: stone, quartz and solid butcher block tops need cast-iron or heavy steel bases, and anything 30" x 48" or larger usually needs a bar-style or double-pedestal base rather than a single column. An undersized base is the most common cause of wobbling tables in a dining room. For outdoor use, specify a weighted or bolt-down base — wind moves tables long before it moves chairs. Heights

Practical notes

Tables ship with tops and bases separate and hardware provided; the customer attaches them. Specify levelling glides and check them at install — almost no restaurant floor is truly flat. If tables will be moved for private events, factor in weight: a stone top on a cast-iron base is a two-person lift. Umbrella holes on outdoor tables have to be located before production, not after.
