Padua Chair

The Padua Chair is a rounded, barrel-back arm chair with a soft, sculpted silhouette. A fully upholstered back wraps continuously around the sitter and curves down into the arms, while the deep upholstered seat sits within the shell for a cozy, enveloping feel. The whole form rests on a slender steel frame with low side stretchers, so the chair looks light and modern despite its generous comfort.

That contrast of plush upholstery and a fine metal base makes the Padua easy to use in restaurants, hotel dining rooms, lounges and bars. It is shown here in olive green fabric on a bronze-tone frame and in black faux leather on a black frame, and both the frame finish and the upholstery are specified per project.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded, not bolted, for lasting strength in busy dining rooms. The chair is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Finish A): a wide range of powder-coat colors from our Color Finish Series, Metal Finish Series options like matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and Premium Finishes including antique brass, brushed copper, dark bronze and rust patina.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): a broad range of standard and deluxe faux leathers, from vintage and pebbled textures to solid neutrals and deep blues and greens.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

Fabric (Fabric Option B): a selection of velvets plus Fighter and Medley performance fabrics rated 100,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

COM: customer's own material is accepted (minimums apply), and we will provide the required yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
