Planning around the club calendar
Most club renovations work backward from a date the membership already knows: the season opener, the member-guest or the holiday party. Here’s how to plan the timeline with your Designform rep.
- Custom orders typically take 14–20 weeks. For a May 1 opening, plan to order by mid-December.
- Rush production brings many custom pieces in at 8–10 weeks.
- Quick Ship items that are pre-finished and available only as shown can ship in 2–3 days of order and payment, nationwide and to Canada.
- Sit-test samples for your house committee or board: book them a few weeks before you plan to order.

Can you furnish the pool deck and the dining room from one order?
Yes. Designform is a full-service furniture supplier, and our line covers dining rooms, bars, lounges, ballrooms, terraces and pool decks, so we can furnish every outlet at your club. Working with one manufacturer also keeps quality and lead times consistent and gives you a single point of contact.
Do you have stacking chairs for the ballroom?
Yes. Several families stack. Stacking carts aren’t standard, but we can custom-make them on request.
Do your bar stools swivel?
Some stools come standard with swivels, and many more can be customized. Most backless swivel stools turn 360°, and swivel stools with backs use an auto-return mechanism.
Is your outdoor furniture suited for year-round use?
Yes. Most of our outdoor products, including the Poly-Molded All-Weather Collection, are UV-resistant and built for year-round outdoor use. Our Al Fresco Collection is also UV-rated and made from outdoor-grade materials; in extreme environments, a little extra care will help it last longer. Your Designform rep can recommend the best collection for your climate.
Can wood furniture be used outdoors?
Our wood products are designed for indoor, climate-controlled spaces. Outdoor use, or unconditioned spaces with extreme temperature or humidity, can damage wood and isn’t covered under warranty. For terraces and pool decks, see our Al Fresco and Poly-Molded All-Weather collections.
Can you build custom furniture to our specifications?
Yes. Send us your full project specifications, and we’ll review them and let you know which custom pieces we can provide. Our current catalog includes more than 900 products, and over nearly 20 years we’ve built thousands more, so even if you don’t see exactly what you need, there’s a good chance we’ve built something similar.
Do you provide design files and documentation for specifying?
Yes. We provide cut sheets, spec sheets and finish samples, plus shop drawings for custom products. On request, we also supply 3D models (IFC, compatible with Revit) and 2D CAD drawings (DXF, compatible with AutoCAD). Tell us which items you’re specifying and we’ll send the files over.
What are your lead times?
Quick Ship items that are pre-finished, assembled and available only as shown can ship in as soon as 2–3 days of order and payment. Quick Ship items with a choice of stain or upholstery options usually take 2–6 weeks, depending on the product; if you have a rush project, let us know and we’ll see what we can do. Custom orders typically take 14–20 weeks, and many custom products can be rushed and delivered in 8–10 weeks. If you need something sooner, ask your Designform rep and we’ll see whether we can meet your timeline.
Can I get samples for our house committee?
Yes. We can send finish swatches so you can see wood stains, metal finishes and upholstery in person, and most chairs and stools are available through our Sample Loan Program for a sit test. Projects of 10 or more pieces receive up to two complimentary seating samples, with shipping covered both ways; for smaller projects, shipping and any sample charges are the client’s responsibility. Samples are a 60-day loan with a credit card authorization on file, and loan samples may show light cosmetic wear from previous use. Contact your Designform rep to request samples.
Do you have a minimum order?
Our minimum order is typically 4 pieces. If you need fewer, ask your Designform rep and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
How do I get pricing?
Contact your local Designform sales rep, or a project manager or project administrator in our office, for quotes, samples and lead times. We sell wholesale for commercial projects, to businesses, designers, purchasing firms and anyone furnishing a commercial space, but not for residential or personal use.
