Resorts ask more of their furniture than almost any other property: sun and salt air by the pool, heavy traffic in the restaurants, and a look that has to feel like a destination. Designform Furnishings supplies commercially rated indoor and outdoor seating for resorts worldwide.

One manufacturer can furnish the whole property: pool deck, beach club, lobby lounge, restaurants and bars, with finishes and fabrics coordinated across every outlet.

Pool, beach and patio seating

Our Al Fresco collection pairs solid teak, powder-coated aluminum, woven rope and all-weather wicker with outdoor fabrics and optional quick-dry foam. Stackable and quick ship options are available for seasonal refreshes.

  • Commercially rated, with a 3-year structural frame warranty.
  • Custom finishes and COM/COL to match the resort’s design.

Worn in, not worn out

Inside the resort — lobbies, restaurants, bars and lounges — our pieces are design-focused and built from American walnut, American white oak, American ash and European beech, upholstered in the finest leathers, faux leathers and fabrics from around the world. They’re made to break in over time and develop the vintage patina of real heirloom furniture, so the property looks worn in, not worn out, season after season.

Frequently asked questions

Which of your chairs can be used outdoors?

Products marked “usable outdoors” on their cut sheets, including our Al Fresco collection, aluminum and poly-molded chairs. See Outdoor Chairs & Stools.

Do you offer quick-dry cushions?

Yes. Many Al Fresco pieces offer optional quick-dry foam with outdoor fabrics.

Can you furnish multiple outlets on one property?

Yes. Designform is a full-service furniture supplier, and our line covers pools, restaurants, bars and lounges, so we can furnish every outlet on your property with finishes coordinated resort-wide. Working with one manufacturer also keeps quality and lead times consistent and gives you a single point of contact.

Is your outdoor furniture suited for year-round use?

Yes. Most of our outdoor products, including the Poly-Molded All-Weather Collection, are UV-resistant and built for year-round outdoor use. Our Al Fresco Collection is also UV-rated and made from outdoor-grade materials; in extreme environments, a little extra care will help it last longer. Your Designform rep can recommend the best collection for your climate.

Can wood furniture be used outdoors?

Our wood products are designed for indoor, climate-controlled spaces. Outdoor use, or unconditioned spaces with extreme temperature or humidity, can damage wood and isn’t covered under warranty. For patios, rooftops and pool decks, see our Al Fresco and Poly-Molded All-Weather collections.

Can you build custom furniture to our specifications?

Yes. Send us your full project specifications, and we’ll review them and let you know which custom pieces we can provide. Our current catalog includes more than 900 products, and over nearly 20 years we’ve built thousands more, so even if you don’t see exactly what you need, there’s a good chance we’ve built something similar.

What are your lead times?

Quick Ship items that are pre-finished, assembled and available only as shown can ship in as soon as 2–3 days of order and payment. Quick Ship items with a choice of stain or upholstery options usually take 2–6 weeks, depending on the product; if you have a rush project, let us know and we’ll see what we can do. Custom orders typically take 14–20 weeks, and many custom products can be rushed and delivered in 8–10 weeks. If you need something sooner, ask your Designform rep and we’ll see whether we can meet your timeline.

Can I get samples?

Yes. We can send finish swatches so you can see wood stains, metal finishes and upholstery in person, and most chairs and stools are available through our Sample Loan Program for a sit test. Projects of 10 or more pieces receive up to two complimentary seating samples, with shipping covered both ways; for smaller projects, shipping and any sample charges are the client’s responsibility. Samples are a 60-day loan with a credit card authorization on file, and loan samples may show light cosmetic wear from previous use. Contact your Designform rep to request samples.

How should I care for my furniture?

Periodically check that any bolts, screws and hardware are tight so each piece keeps performing as designed. Wipe metal and wood with a soft, slightly damp cloth, and avoid chemicals, abrasives and harsh cleaners, which can damage finishes and upholstery and aren’t covered under warranty. See our Care Guide for material-specific instructions.

How do I get pricing?

Contact your local Designform sales rep, or a project manager or project administrator in our office, for quotes, samples and lead times. We sell wholesale for commercial projects, to businesses, designers, purchasing firms and anyone furnishing a commercial space, but not for residential or personal use.
