Worn in, not worn out
Wine gets better with age, and your tasting room furniture should too. Our pieces are design-focused and built from American walnut, American white oak, American ash and European beech, finished in the finest leathers, faux leathers and fabrics from around the world. They’re made to break in over time and develop a vintage patina, like heirloom furniture in a family estate — worn in, not worn out.

What height stool do I need for a tasting bar?
Most tasting bars are counter height (34–36″), so choose counter stools with a 24–26″ seat. For 40–42″ bars, choose 30–31″ bar stools.
Can furniture match our estate’s style?
Yes. Most products offer multiple wood stains, metal finishes, fabrics and leathers, and accept COM/COL.
Do you have outdoor seating for terraces and events?
Yes. See our Al Fresco Collection and Stackable Chairs.
Is your outdoor furniture suited for year-round use?
Yes. Most of our outdoor products, including the Poly-Molded All-Weather Collection, are UV-resistant and built for year-round outdoor use. Our Al Fresco Collection is also UV-rated and made from outdoor-grade materials; in extreme environments, a little extra care will help it last longer. Your Designform rep can recommend the best collection for your climate.
Can wood furniture be used outdoors?
Our wood products are designed for indoor, climate-controlled spaces. Outdoor use, or unconditioned spaces with extreme temperature or humidity, can damage wood and isn’t covered under warranty. For patios, rooftops and pool decks, see our Al Fresco and Poly-Molded All-Weather collections.
Can you build custom furniture to our specifications?
Yes. Send us your full project specifications, and we’ll review them and let you know which custom pieces we can provide. Our current catalog includes more than 900 products, and over nearly 20 years we’ve built thousands more, so even if you don’t see exactly what you need, there’s a good chance we’ve built something similar.
What are your lead times?
Quick Ship items that are pre-finished, assembled and available only as shown can ship in as soon as 2–3 days of order and payment. Quick Ship items with a choice of stain or upholstery options usually take 2–6 weeks, depending on the product; if you have a rush project, let us know and we’ll see what we can do. Custom orders typically take 14–20 weeks, and many custom products can be rushed and delivered in 8–10 weeks. If you need something sooner, ask your Designform rep and we’ll see whether we can meet your timeline.
Can I get samples?
Yes. We can send finish swatches so you can see wood stains, metal finishes and upholstery in person, and most chairs and stools are available through our Sample Loan Program for a sit test. Projects of 10 or more pieces receive up to two complimentary seating samples, with shipping covered both ways; for smaller projects, shipping and any sample charges are the client’s responsibility. Samples are a 60-day loan with a credit card authorization on file, and loan samples may show light cosmetic wear from previous use. Contact your Designform rep to request samples.
Do you have a minimum order?
Our minimum order is typically 4 pieces. If you need fewer, ask your Designform rep and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
How should I care for my furniture?
Periodically check that any bolts, screws and hardware are tight so each piece keeps performing as designed. Wipe metal and wood with a soft, slightly damp cloth, and avoid chemicals, abrasives and harsh cleaners, which can damage finishes and upholstery and aren’t covered under warranty. How do I get pricing?
Contact your local Designform sales rep, or a project manager or project administrator in our office, for quotes, samples and lead times. We sell wholesale for commercial projects, to businesses, designers, purchasing firms and anyone furnishing a commercial space, but not for residential or personal use.
