About the Alden Chair with Cord Seat
The Alden Chair with Cord Seat is a Danish modern dining chair with a handcrafted feel. A curved veneer wood back rail stretches between the rear posts like a gentle smile, supported by slim, tapered solid wood legs and stretchers. The seat is natural woven cord, wrapped tightly in a pattern that adds texture, a little give and an artisan quality you notice up close.
The combination of warm wood and natural cord suits restaurants, wine bars, hotel dining rooms and lodge interiors that favor honest materials. Specify the frame in oak or ash for a light Scandinavian look, or walnut for something richer. The Alden is part of our Alpine Lodge collection and coordinates with the Alden Stool for a matching bar.

Built for commercial use
The Alden's solid wood frame uses mortise-and-tenon joinery with very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.
