Asher Lounge Chair

The Asher Lounge Chair is a mid-century modern lounge chair built on a dramatic solid wood frame. From the side, the frame forms a bold zigzag: angled arms sweep back and down into the legs, and a crossing member supports the seat, so the chair looks as if it is leaning back in welcome. Thick upholstered seat and back cushions rest within that frame for deep, comfortable seating.

Shown in walnut with a rust-toned fabric, the Asher has the warmth of a classic 1950s living room, and it adapts easily to leather, faux leather or velvet. It is part of our Alpine Lodge and Steakhouse Collections and works well in pairs around a cocktail table or fireplace.

Built for commercial use

The frame is solid wood with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections, so it stays tight through years of daily service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option A): teak (unfinished or oiled), oak, ash in natural, medium brown, chestnut brown, brushed antique cherry and antiqued finishes, European beech and American walnut.

Fabric (Fabric Option B): soft velvets in colors from sand and rust to teal and goldenrod, plus performance fabrics rated 100,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): standard and deluxe faux leathers, including vintage and pebbled textures in browns, greens, blues and blacks.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

For commercial use, specify upholstery rated 75,000 to 100,000 double rubs; our upholstery double rubs guide explains why. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
