Ava Chair Upholstered

The Ava Chair Upholstered takes the light, mid-century lines of the Ava and adds padded comfort. A slender steel frame with angled legs carries an upholstered seat and a separate upholstered back pad that floats on two slim rods, so the chair keeps its open, airy look while feeling noticeably softer.

The rounded, pillowy seat and back invite guests to settle in, and the minimal frame lets the upholstery take center stage. Choose a crisp white or black frame with a textured fabric or faux leather for a modern café, or go bold with color on both frame and fabric. It pairs naturally with the wood-seat Ava Chair when you want a mix within one look.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded, not bolted, and the chair is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. Foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. The chair ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): a wide range of powder coat colors from our Color Finish Series, plus Metal Finish Series options such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and Premium finishes including dark bronze, rust patina, brushed copper, antique brass and matte red rust.

Fabric (Fabric Option B): velvets in sand, rust, starlight blue, teal, fern green, royalty blue, black and goldenrod, plus commercial fabrics rated 100,000–130,000 double rubs.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): a broad range of faux leathers in browns, blacks, greens, blues, grays and warm accent colors.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

COM: customer's own material is accepted (minimums may apply), and we will provide the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
