Antonio Chair with Sled Base

The Antonio Chair with Sled Base pairs a sculpted, one-piece shell seat with a slim steel sled base. The shell curves up from the seat into a gently rounded back, and it is fully upholstered with neat seams that follow its form. Underneath, continuous steel rods run front to back along the floor on each side, giving the chair a light, floating look and a stance that glides easily on hard floors.

The steel base is finished in your choice of powder coat colors and premium metal finishes, and the shell is upholstered in faux leather or leather. A cognac leather on a black base feels mid-century and warm, while a bright powder coat and a contrasting faux leather suit a casual café. It is the sled-base version of our Antonio Chair, and the look carries to the bar with the Antonio Bar Stool.

Built for commercial use

The Antonio's steel frame is welded, not bolted, so it stays rigid through daily dining service. It is tested to 400 lbs and to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. Each chair ships fully assembled from our factory and is covered by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): a wide palette of matte and gloss powder coat colors, metal finishes such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and premium finishes including dark bronze, rust patina, brushed copper and antique brass.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): a range of faux leathers including cinnamon, cocoa, chestnut, caramel, vintage greens, onyx black and more.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

For commercial use, specify upholstery rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs. We accept COM and COL and will give you the yardage needed for each piece. See our guide to double rubs.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
