The Clara Arm Chair is a solid wood dining arm chair with a classic mid-century silhouette. A wide, curved crest rail sweeps around the back and flows down into the arms in one continuous line, supported by two shaped back splats and four gently tapered legs with stretchers below. The upholstered seat, shown in black, sits low within the frame, and the walnut-tone wood gives the chair a rich, crafted warmth.
It is a chair that feels at home in a steakhouse, a hotel restaurant or a boardroom, where guests stay seated for a long time and appreciate a supportive back and arms. The 20.75" x 17.5" seat is generous, and the Clara is part of our Steakhouse Collection, pairing beautifully with dark wood tables and leather banquettes.
The solid wood frame is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections, so it stays tight through years of daily service and breaks in with the patina of heirloom furniture. The Clara is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty, plus a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.
Plan about 26" to 28" per seat at the table, and confirm the 28" arms clear your table apron. Our wood restaurant chairs guide and seating layout guide cover sizing and spacing.
