Antonio Chair

The Antonio Chair is a modern shell chair with a soft, tailored finish. A one-piece upholstered shell curves from a deep seat up into a rounded back, with fine top-stitching across its surface, and it sits on four slim, slightly splayed steel legs. The look is relaxed mid-century, easy to place in a bistro, a hotel dining room or a busy cafe.

The shell is upholstered in faux leather or leather, and the steel frame comes in a wide palette of powder coat colors and premium metal finishes, so the Antonio can be quiet and neutral or a bold color accent. It coordinates with the Antonio Bar Stool and the Antonio Chair with Sled Base for a consistent look across dining and bar seating.

Built for commercial use

The frame is welded steel, not bolted, so there are no joints to loosen over time. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): our Color Finish Series of matte and gloss powder coats, the Metal Finish Series (matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized), and Premium Finishes such as dark bronze, rust patina, brushed copper and antique brass.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): standard and deluxe faux leathers, including vintage and pebbled textures in browns, greens, blues and blacks.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

For commercial use, specify upholstery rated 75,000 to 100,000 double rubs; our upholstery double rubs guide explains why. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
