Montreux Stool

The Montreux Stool carries the tailored channel-stitched look of the Montreux Chair up to bar and counter height. The fully upholstered back features vertical channel stitching and a softly curved top, paired with a padded seat on a solid wood base with tapered legs. A foot rest with a brushed stainless cover runs between the front legs, with brushed brass or black brass covers available as an option.

It is a polished, comfortable stool for bars where guests linger: steakhouse bars, hotel lobby bars and wine bars. Leather in a dark tone over a walnut base feels classic and clubby, while a lighter wood and fabric gives a softer, contemporary look. It is offered in bar and counter heights.

Built for commercial use

The Montreux Stool is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery with very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory. The frame carries a 3-year structural warranty, and finish and upholstery are covered for 1 year from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet. It also comes standard with a stainless steel foot rest cover, available as an option in brushed brass or black brass.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): American walnut, American white oak, North American ash and European beech, plus black painted ash (open pore), beech with walnut stain, and ash with light or dark walnut stain.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, from classic blacks, browns and grays to rich cognacs, greens and blues, including distressed premium hides.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): standard and deluxe faux leathers in a broad palette of neutrals, browns, blues, greens and warm accent colors.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a wide range of contract fabrics and tweeds, including Fighter (130,000 double rubs) and Medley (100,000 double rubs) performance fabrics and other options rated 72,000–80,000 double rubs.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
