Eleanor Chair

The Eleanor Chair is a compact, mid-century-inspired dining chair with a quietly refined profile. A curved back rail is set between the rear legs, which rise in a smooth, continuous line from the floor, and slim tapered front legs give the chair a light, elegant stance. Without stretchers in the way, the frame looks clean and open from every angle.

The frame is solid European beech, offered in stains from natural and maple to cherry, walnut and ebony, and the upholstered seat comes in faux leather or COM. At 30.75" tall, the Eleanor keeps sightlines low across a dining room, which makes it a good choice for open rooms and spaces with views. It is part of our quick ship program, so it can ship within days for openings and replacements.

Built for commercial use

Like almost all of our wood seating, the Eleanor is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. The chair ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option E): stains on solid European beech, including walnut, tobacco, select cherry, rustic oak, natural, maple, mahogany, light cherry and ebony.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option C): a wide range of Classic, Jackson and Glaze series faux leathers, from warm neutrals and saddle browns to deep reds, blues and greens. COM is accepted (minimums apply).

For commercial use we recommend specifying upholstery rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage for your material. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains what to look for.

Lead times and ordering

This item is in stock in our quick ship program and ships within 2–3 days of order and payment, nationwide. Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
