Johnson Stool

The Johnson Stool is a simple, sturdy backless bar stool with a European beech frame and a thick, square upholstered seat. Four straight legs are tied together with stretchers on every side, giving guests a foot rest wherever they sit and keeping the profile clean and compact.

Because it has no back, the Johnson tucks fully under a bar or drink rail when not in use, which keeps aisles clear and makes it easy to fit more seats along a run. It suits pubs, sports bars, steakhouses, casino bars and hotel bars where a classic, no-fuss stool is the right call. Choose from a range of wood stains, from natural and maple to cherry, mahogany, walnut and ebony, and upholster the seat in faux leather or COM.

Built for commercial use

The solid wood frame is joined with mortise-and-tenon construction and very few bolted connections, so it stays tight through years of daily service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is backed by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood stain (Wood Option E): walnut, tobacco, select cherry, rustic oak, natural, maple, mahogany, light cherry and ebony stains over the European beech frame.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option C): the Classic, Jackson and Glaze faux leather series, covering neutrals, earth tones, brights and deep jewel colors.

COM/COL: customer's own material or leather is accepted (minimums may apply), and we will provide the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
