Edward Bar Stool

The Edward Bar Stool is a timeless ladder-back stool that feels right at home behind any bar. Four horizontal slats rise between straight rear posts to form a classic, open back, and a generous upholstered seat sits on a sturdy four-leg base wrapped with stretchers that double as footrests. It is the kind of familiar, well-proportioned design that works in pubs, steakhouses and neighborhood restaurants alike.

The frame is solid European beech, offered in a range of stains from natural and maple to walnut, mahogany and ebony, and the seat is upholstered in faux leather or COM. The Edward Bar Stool is part of our quick ship program, so it can ship quickly for openings and replacements, and it coordinates with the Edward chairs for a matched look between the bar and dining room.

Built for commercial use

Like almost all of our wood seating, the Edward is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. The stool ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option E): stains on solid European beech, including walnut, tobacco, select cherry, rustic oak, natural, maple, mahogany, light cherry and ebony.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option C): a wide range of Classic, Jackson and Glaze series faux leathers, from warm neutrals and saddle browns to deep reds, blues and greens. COM is accepted (minimums may apply).

For commercial use we recommend specifying upholstery rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage for your material. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains what to look for.

This item is in stock in our quick ship program and ships within 2–3 days of order and payment, nationwide. Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
