Egan Lounge Chair

The Egan Lounge Chair is a low, relaxed seat with a strong mid-century spirit. A solid wood frame sets a wide, deep seat close to the floor, and the seat and reclined back are framed in wood and filled with natural woven cane. Angled, sculptural legs and a crossbar base give the chair a distinctive, almost architectural side profile that makes it a conversation piece in any lounge.

The open cane weave keeps the chair light and breathable, and its generous 24" seat width invites guests to settle in. The frame is offered in natural and stained ash, oak, teak and walnut, so it can tone in with warm wood interiors or add contrast to pale, minimal spaces. Pair a few Egans with a low table to create an inviting seating group in a hotel lobby, lounge or reception area.

Built for commercial use

Like almost all of our wood seating, the Egan is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. The chair ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish warranty from shipment. Each lounge chair comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option A): teak (unfinished or oiled), oak, medium brown stained ash, European beech, chestnut brown ash, brushed antique cherry ash, natural ash, antiqued ash and American walnut.

The seat and back are natural woven cane.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
