Anden Lounge Chair

The Anden Lounge Chair is a Scandinavian-inspired, mid-century lounge chair with an exposed solid wood frame and a tall, softly winged upholstered back. The back rises high and flares gently at the top corners, the seat cushion sits low and deep, and slender wood arms float alongside, curving down into the front legs. The frame's sculpted lines are left visible, so the chair reads as much like a piece of woodworking as a piece of upholstery.

Shown in deep burgundy upholstery on a walnut-toned frame, the Anden brings warmth and a sense of heritage to hotel lobbies, libraries, club rooms and lounge corners. The high back gives real head and shoulder support for reading or conversation. Choose from American and European hardwoods and a broad range of leathers, faux leathers and fabrics, or specify COM.

Built for commercial use

The Anden is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): North American ash, European beech, black painted ash (open pore), beech with walnut stain, ash with light or dark walnut stain, American white oak and American walnut.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, including distressed and richly colored hides.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): standard and deluxe faux leathers in a broad palette of neutrals, browns, greens and blues.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a broad selection of fabrics, tweeds and performance textiles, many rated 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

COM: customer's own material is accepted (minimums apply), and we will provide the required yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
