The Walter Lounge Chair pairs a slim solid wood frame with a deep upholstered seat and seat back. The arms run forward from the back and drop into legs that curve into long runners at the floor, giving the chair a light, open silhouette with the relaxed, reclined posture of a reading chair. Seen from the side it is all line and very little bulk, which keeps it from crowding a room.
At 27.5" wide and 37.5" deep with an 18" seat height, it is sized for real lounging in hotel lobbies, club rooms and resort lounges. The frame can be specified in American walnut, American white oak, ash or beech, in natural or stained finishes, and the cushions in leather, fabric or COM. It works on its own beside a fireplace or in pairs around a low table, and its warm wood frame sits comfortably alongside wood dining chairs in the same finish.
The Walter is built on a solid wood frame joined with mortise-and-tenon construction and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. The chair ships fully assembled from the factory. It carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.
Lounge chairs take more floor than dining seating, so plan for the full 37.5" depth plus a comfortable walkway in front of each chair. Our restaurant seating layout guide covers clearances for lounge groupings.
