Amelia Upholstered Arm Chair

The Amelia Upholstered Arm Chair takes the angled, mid-century frame of the Amelia family and swaps the cane for upholstered cushions. A padded back panel sits within a solid wood frame, a cushioned seat rests below, and flat wood arms run forward from the back posts. The compass-style legs, angled into an inverted V in profile, keep the chair's strong architectural character.

Shown with cognac upholstery on a warm wood frame, it has a rich, tailored look suited to hotel restaurants, steakhouses, private dining rooms and club dining. Upholstery brings extra comfort and acoustic softness to a room, and you can choose from velvets, performance fabrics, faux leathers and leathers. It pairs with the caned Amelia Arm Chair and the Amelia Upholstered Stool.

Built for commercial use

The chair is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option A): natural and stained ash (including antiqued ash, medium brown, chestnut brown and brushed antique cherry), oak, European beech, American walnut and teak (unfinished or oiled).

Fabric (Fabric Option B): a selection of velvets plus Fighter and Medley performance fabrics rated 100,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): a broad range of standard and deluxe faux leathers, from vintage and pebbled textures to solid neutrals and deep blues and greens.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
