Amelia Side Chair

The Amelia Side Chair is the armless member of the Amelia family, a solid wood dining chair with woven cane seat and back panels. Its signature is the angled, compass-style leg structure: seen from the side, the legs cross into a bold inverted V, giving the chair a strong architectural stance. The rectangular cane back panel is framed in wood and set between straight posts, above a caned seat.

Shown with a black frame and natural cane, the Amelia Side Chair has a graphic, mid-century presence; in a natural or walnut finish it reads warmer and softer. The cane keeps it visually light and breathable, which makes it a good fit for restaurants, cafes, hotel dining rooms and wine bars. Pair it with the Amelia Arm Chair at the ends of tables, or the Amelia Stool with Arms at the bar.

Built for commercial use

The Amelia Side Chair is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections, so the frame stays tight under daily restaurant use. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and it ships fully assembled from the factory. It carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
