The Amelia Arm Chair is a solid wood dining arm chair with woven cane seat and back panels and a distinctive mid-century frame. Its legs are angled in a compass-like shape, with each pair forming a bold inverted V when seen from the side, and flat wood arms run from the back posts across to the front. The cane back panel is set into a wood frame, and a matching caned seat completes the look.
The combination of warm hardwood and natural cane gives the Amelia an airy, handcrafted character that suits modern restaurants, hotel dining rooms, wine bars and cafes. The cane is breathable and lightweight to the eye, while the angled legs give the chair a strong architectural stance. The Amelia family includes a side chair, lounge chair, stool with arms and upholstered versions, so one design can carry through an entire space.
The Amelia is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections, so the frame stays tight under daily restaurant use. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and it ships fully assembled from the factory. It carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment.
For an arm chair this size, plan about 26"–28" per seat and confirm the 26.5" arm height clears your table apron. Our restaurant seating layout guide has more on spacing.
Wood (Wood Option A): natural and stained ash (including antiqued ash, medium brown, chestnut brown and brushed antique cherry), oak, European beech, American walnut and teak (unfinished or oiled).
Cane: natural woven cane seat and back panels.
