Amelia Upholstered Stool

The Amelia Upholstered Stool brings the angled, mid-century frame of the Amelia family to the bar with cushioned comfort. A padded back panel sits within a solid wood frame, above an upholstered seat, with flat wood arms reaching forward from the back posts. The long legs angle into the family's signature compass shape, and a low stretcher serves as a footrest.

Shown in black upholstery on a warm wood frame, it has a tailored, clubby look that suits hotel bars, steakhouse lounges, wine bars and restaurant counters where guests settle in for a full meal. The arms and padded back make it one of the most comfortable ways to seat a bar. It is offered in bar and counter heights and coordinates with the caned Amelia Stool with Arms and the Amelia Upholstered Arm Chair.

Built for commercial use

The stool is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option A): natural and stained ash (including antiqued ash, medium brown, chestnut brown and brushed antique cherry), oak, European beech, American walnut and teak (unfinished or oiled).

Fabric (Fabric Option B): a selection of velvets plus Fighter and Medley performance fabrics rated 100,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): a broad range of standard and deluxe faux leathers, from vintage and pebbled textures to solid neutrals and deep blues and greens.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

COM: customer's own material is accepted (minimums may apply), and we will provide the required yardage.

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
