Newport Chair

The Newport Chair is part of our Al Fresco line, and it brings a relaxed, resort feel to outdoor dining. A powder coated steel frame is wrapped in woven rope that forms a rounded, enveloping tub back with integrated arms, and the whole shell rests on a slim sled-style base for a light, modern stance.

A removable upholstered seat cushion, available with optional quick dry foam, makes it comfortable enough for long lunches by the pool or late dinners on a terrace. The rope comes in white, black, taupe or grey, and the frame and cushion fabric can be chosen to suit the setting, from crisp coastal palettes to deeper, moodier tones. The Newport is a strong pick for hotel pool decks, rooftop restaurants and patios where comfort and a soft, textured look matter as much as durability.

Built for commercial use

The Newport's steel frame is welded rather than bolted, and as an Al Fresco product it is UV-resistant for year-round outdoor use. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. The chair ships fully assembled and is backed by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Metal (Metal Option D): smooth and textured powder coats including white, taupe gray, mink brown, medium gray, brown caramel, black satin, black and anthracite bronze.

Cushion fabric (Fabric Option C): Sunbrella and other outdoor-rated fabrics.

Woven rope: white, black, taupe or grey.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
