Rio Chair

The Rio Chair is part of our Al Fresco line, made for dining under open skies. A rounded, hoop-shaped back curves forward to form the arms, and its open weave of faux wicker gives the chair a light, airy look that lets breezes and views pass right through. The seat is woven over an aluminum frame and topped with a cushion, and the whole shell rests on a base of solid teak with four tapered legs.

Shown with a sage woven back, a blue seat cushion and natural teak legs, the Rio has a relaxed, resort feel that works on terraces, pool decks and garden patios. The frame is available in black or sunwashed, and the cushion can be covered in a range of outdoor fabrics, including Sunbrella.

Built for commercial use

As part of our Al Fresco line, the Rio is UV-resistant for year-round outdoor use, and its solid teak base is suited to outdoor settings. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
