Marinella Chair

The Marinella Chair is an outdoor arm chair from our Al Fresco line that pairs a solid teak frame with a woven rope seat back. The rope shell sweeps from a softly rounded back down into low, wide arms, while the teak legs and arm supports frame it in warm natural wood. The result is a relaxed, residential-feeling chair with the build of a commercial piece.

A quick dry foam seat cushion is optional, so you can leave the chair as a bare woven seat for a casual beach club or add a cushion for longer dinners on the terrace. The teak frame comes in black, natural or walnut brown, and the rope in white/beige or grey/black, giving designers room to go light and coastal or darker and more architectural. It works beautifully around teak or stone-topped dining tables on patios and rooftops.

Built for commercial use

Our wood products are built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections, and the Marinella is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. Where a cushion is specified, the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. Solid teak is suited to outdoor use and the Al Fresco line is UV-resistant for year-round outdoor service, but note that the walnut brown finish is for indoor use only. The chair ships fully assembled and carries our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Frame: solid teak in black, natural or walnut brown (walnut brown for indoor use only).

Woven rope: white/beige or grey/black.

Optional cushion (Fabric Option C): a selection of Sunbrella fabrics along with the Aprohdite and Cartenza fabric ranges.

For commercial upholstery we recommend specifying fabrics rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs; our upholstery double rubs guide explains why. COM and COL are accepted, and we will give you the yardage for your selection.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
