Stella Stool

The Stella Stool is the classic backless industrial bistro stool. Four formed steel legs taper as they rise to a square, lightly dished steel seat, and footrest rails connect the legs at a comfortable height. The simple, sturdy shape has a timeless workshop look, especially in a dark metallic finish like the one shown in the photo.

The Stella Stool is built from steel, meant for outdoor use and stackable, which makes it one of the most practical stools for busy bars, patios and high-top sections. Being backless, it slides fully under a bar or counter overhang to keep aisles clear. It comes in bar and counter heights, and an optional upholstered seat pad adds comfort. Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded rather than bolted, tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It is meant for outdoor use as well as indoors. It stacks, and ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request. It ships fully assembled and is backed by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): a broad palette that includes the Color Finish Series (matte or gloss solids such as black, white, charcoal, red, midnight blue, olive green and aqua, plus colors like warm gray, shadow blue, peacock and seafoam), the Metal Finish Series (matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized) and Premium Finishes (antique brass, brushed copper, dark bronze, rust patina and matte red rust). Custom powder coat colors are also available.

Upholstered seat pad (optional): an upholstered seat pad can be added for extra comfort. For commercial use, we recommend fabrics rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs; COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage. See our upholstery double rubs guide.

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
