Stella Chair with Wood Seat

The Stella Chair with Wood Seat combines the classic industrial bistro frame with a solid wood seat. Formed steel shapes the tall, gently curved back and the tapered square legs, and a thick wood seat sits on top, bringing warmth and texture to the metal. In the photo, a white frame with a light natural seat gives the chair a fresh, Scandinavian-leaning look, but darker frames and walnut tones push it toward a moodier steakhouse style.

The wood seat feels warmer than bare steel and adds a crafted quality that suits dining rooms, taprooms and cafés. At 17.25" wide it fits tight layouts, and it stacks for storage and quick resets. It coordinates with the Stella Arm Chair with Wood Seat and the Stella Stool with Wood Seat, so the same look can run from tables to the bar.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded rather than bolted, tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It stacks, and ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request. It ships fully assembled and is backed by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): a broad palette that includes the Color Finish Series (matte or gloss solids such as black, white, charcoal, red, midnight blue, olive green and aqua, plus colors like warm gray, shadow blue, peacock and seafoam), the Metal Finish Series (matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized) and Premium Finishes (antique brass, brushed copper, dark bronze, rust patina and matte red rust). Custom powder coat colors are also available.

Wood (Wood Option A): teak (unfinished or oiled), American walnut, oak, European beech, and ash in natural, medium brown, chestnut brown, brushed antique cherry and antiqued finishes.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
