The Celeste Chair is a dining side chair that mixes a slim black steel frame with natural, handcrafted texture. Its back is made of three solid wood rails, each wrapped through the center in natural cord, with the light wood ends left exposed past the frame. Below, a thick upholstered seat, shown in black, rests on four thin steel legs joined by a curved H-stretcher near the floor.

The effect is light, graphic and a little Scandinavian, with the cord adding a tactile, crafted note against the clean metal lines. It suits cafes, bistros and hotel restaurants that want something warmer than an all-metal chair without the visual weight of a full wood frame, and it pairs nicely with light oak or ash table tops and black metal bases.

Built for commercial use

The Celeste's steel frame is welded rather than bolted. The chair is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty, plus a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
