Stella Grand Arm Chair

The Stella Grand Arm Chair is the roomiest member of the Stella family. It combines the formed steel seat, tapered legs and rounded back of the classic industrial bistro chair with a tubular arm that wraps around the back from side to side, and it enlarges the seat to 16.75" x 16.25". The result is a generous, comfortable arm chair that keeps the familiar café look, shown in bright red in the photo.

Built from steel, suitable for outdoor use and stackable, the Grand Arm Chair handles dining rooms, patios and rooftops alike. An optional upholstered seat pad adds comfort for longer meals. Use it at the heads of tables, in booths or throughout a room where guests linger, and pair it with the Stella Grand Chair for a matching side chair.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded rather than bolted, tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It can be used outdoors as well as indoors. It stacks, and ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request. It ships fully assembled and is backed by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): a broad palette that includes the Color Finish Series (matte or gloss solids such as black, white, charcoal, red, midnight blue, olive green and aqua, plus colors like warm gray, shadow blue, peacock and seafoam), the Metal Finish Series (matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized) and Premium Finishes (antique brass, brushed copper, dark bronze, rust patina and matte red rust). Custom powder coat colors are also available.

Upholstered seat pad (optional): an upholstered seat pad can be added for extra comfort. For commercial use, we recommend fabrics rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs; COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage. See our upholstery double rubs guide.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
