Stella Arm Chair

The Stella Arm Chair is a classic industrial bistro chair with a curved arm. Formed steel creates a gently scooped seat, tapered square legs and a rounded back, while a single tubular arm wraps from one side of the seat around the back to the other. The shape has a confident, café-in-Paris character that works in modern, rustic and industrial interiors alike.

The Stella is built from steel and can be used outdoors, so the same chair can furnish a dining room and its patio. Powder coat options run from quiet neutrals to saturated colors like the deep plum shown in the photo, and an optional upholstered seat pad adds comfort for longer meals. It stacks for storage and coordinates with the full Stella family, including the Stella Chair and Stella Stool.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded rather than bolted, tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It can be used outdoors as well as indoors. It stacks, and ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request. It ships fully assembled and is backed by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): a broad palette that includes the Color Finish Series (matte or gloss solids such as black, white, charcoal, red, midnight blue, olive green and aqua, plus colors like warm gray, shadow blue, peacock and seafoam), the Metal Finish Series (matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized) and Premium Finishes (antique brass, brushed copper, dark bronze, rust patina and matte red rust). Custom powder coat colors are also available.

Upholstered seat pad (optional): an upholstered seat pad can be added for extra comfort. For commercial use, we recommend fabrics rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs; COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage. See our upholstery double rubs guide.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
