Bowen Bar Stool

The Bowen Bar Stool pairs a slim steel frame with warm slatted wood. The back is made of horizontal solid wood slats set between two steel uprights, and the seat is slatted to match, while the legs run down into continuous sled-style runners for a clean, graphic profile. A low foot rail between the legs gives guests a comfortable place to rest their feet.

With a teak seat and back, the Bowen can be used outdoors, making it a strong choice for patio bars, pool decks and beach clubs, and the same design works indoors with other wood species. It stacks for storage, and the steel frame can be finished in a standard or custom powder coat color. Pair it with the Bowen Chair for coordinated dining and bar seating.

Built for commercial use

The Bowen Bar Stool has a welded steel frame, not bolted, for strength that lasts. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It stacks for storage. Ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request. For outdoor installations, specify the teak wood seat and back; other wood species should be kept indoors. It ships fully assembled from the factory with a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): a wide range of matte and gloss colors from our Color Finish Series, Metal Finish Series options such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and Premium Finishes including dark bronze, rust patina, brushed copper and antique brass.

Custom powder coat: custom powder coat colors are available.

Wood (Wood Option A): teak (unfinished or oiled), oak, medium brown stained ash, European beech, chestnut brown ash, brushed antique cherry ash, natural ash, antiqued ash and American walnut. Specify teak for outdoor use.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
