The Truman Stool is a backless pedestal bar stool with a strong, tailored presence. A round seat sits atop a single tapered steel column, ringed by a circular footrest and anchored by a square base. The result is a stool that looks equally at home at a speakeasy bar or a steakhouse lounge, with a clean vertical line that keeps a long bar run looking orderly.
Specify the seat in solid wood for an easy-clean, natural top, or upholster it in leather, faux leather or fabric for more comfort. The pedestal design gives guests plenty of knee room and leaves the floor beneath the bar uncluttered. The Truman is part of our Steakhouse collection and is shown at Black Rabbit in Nashville in the project photos on this page.
The Truman's steel frame is welded, not bolted. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and on upholstered versions the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.
A 28.75" seat height suits bar-height tops. Plan on about 24" per stool; our bar stool spacing guide and bar vs. counter height guide have the details.
