Troyer Stool

The Troyer Stool is a backless bar stool with a light, almost sculptural frame. Slim steel legs splay outward from beneath a round solid wood seat, braced by thin stretchers that give the feet a place to rest. The open frame keeps it visually airy along a bar, and the solid wood seat adds a warm, natural touch against the painted steel.

The steel frame can be powder coated in a wide range of colors, from crisp whites and soft neutrals to bold brights and metallic looks, so the Troyer can lean modern, industrial or playful. Pair the frame color with a wood seat finish to suit the room. Its compact footprint and backless form make it easy to slide under a bar top and quick to wipe down between turns.

Built for commercial use

The Troyer's steel frame is welded, not bolted, so it stays tight through years of service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, ships fully assembled from the factory, and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish warranty from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Frame (Metal Finish Option A): a broad powder coat palette spanning our Color Finish, Metal Finish and Premium Finish series, from matte and gloss colors to brushed galvanized, matte gunmetal, dark bronze, antique brass, brushed copper and rust patina.

Seat (Wood Option A): American walnut, oak, European beech and ash in natural, antiqued, chestnut brown, brushed antique cherry and medium brown stains, plus teak (unfinished or oiled).

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
