Schoolhouse Stool – Room 101

The Schoolhouse Stool - Room 101 takes the familiar lines of a classroom chair and stretches them to bar and counter height. It is made entirely of steel: a flat seat, a curved band back that wraps gently around the sitter, slim straight legs and a perimeter stretcher low on the frame. Because the cut sheet rates it for outdoor use, it works as well on a patio rail or rooftop bar as it does inside a taproom.

The frame is finished in powder coat, so the stool can read as quiet and neutral or as a bold accent. The bright orange shown in the photo is one example; Metal Finish A covers a full range of standard colors, metal looks and premium finishes, and custom powder coat colors are available. Pair it with metal or wood bar tables and with other pieces in our metal seating line.

Built for commercial use

The Schoolhouse Stool - Room 101 has a welded steel frame rather than a bolted one, so there are no joints to loosen with daily use. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. Every stool ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment. For outdoor installations, the powder coat finish protects the steel in patio and deck settings. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Frame (Metal Finish A): Color Finish Series powder coats such as matte or gloss black, white, red, orange, yellow, greens and blues; Metal Finish Series looks including matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized; and premium finishes such as rust patina, brushed copper, antique brass and dark bronze.

Custom Powder Coat Color: available to match a brand palette or interior scheme.

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
