Youngston Stool

The Youngston Stool carries the industrial character of the Youngston family up to bar and counter height. A flat rectangular back panel sits on two tall posts above an upholstered seat pad, and four straight steel legs are braced by a footrest stretcher across the front and additional stretchers at the sides and back. Shown here in a brushed galvanized-style finish with a dark seat, it has the look of vintage factory seating with the comfort guests expect at the bar.

With a deep powder coat palette and a choice of leather, faux leather or performance fabric seats, the Youngston Stool can be tuned to anything from a gastropub to a casino bar. It coordinates with the Youngston Chair and the Youngston Wood Series, so you can carry one look from the dining room to the bar rail and the high-tops.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded, not bolted, for a rigid stool that holds up to heavy bar traffic. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. The Youngston Stool ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): a broad powder coat palette that includes the Color Finish Series (matte or gloss black, white, charcoal, reds, blues, greens, yellows and more), the Metal Finish Series (matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized) and Premium Finishes such as dark bronze, rust patina, brushed copper, antique brass and matte red rust.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): a curated range of standard and deluxe faux leathers, including vintage greens, chestnut, caramel, cocoa, saddle and solid colors from putty and fog to teal, Egyptian blue and onyx black.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

Fabric (Fabric Option B): soft velvets in tones such as sand, rust, teal, fern green and black, plus Fighter (130,000 double rubs) and Medley (100,000 double rubs) performance fabrics.

COM is accepted (minimums apply).

For commercial seating we recommend specifying upholstery rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage your fabric or leather supplier needs. See our upholstery double rubs guide for more.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
