Schoolhouse Chair – Room 103

The Schoolhouse Chair - Room 103 is the most substantial of our all-steel Schoolhouse chairs. Its back is a solid steel panel with a raised center splat that widens toward the top, a bold, graphic shape that reads clearly from across the room, set on straight tubular legs with a flat steel seat.

It is the roomiest chair in the Schoolhouse family, with a 16.5" x 15.5" seat and a taller 32.5" back. Built entirely of steel, it can be used outdoors and stacks for storage. In a bright powder coat like red or yellow it becomes a signature piece for a patio or cafe; in black or gunmetal it settles into an industrial brewery or bar.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded rather than bolted, tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and it can be used outdoors. The chair stacks for storage, and ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): Our full powder coat palette, including the Color Finish Series (soft grays and blues through bright reds, yellows, greens and aqua), the Metal Finish Series (matte gunmetal, brushed galvanized) and Premium Finishes such as dark bronze, rust patina, brushed copper and antique brass. Custom powder coat colors are also available.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
