Schoolhouse Chair – Room 104

The Schoolhouse Chair - Room 104 is a lean, all-steel side chair with a minimal open back. A curved top rail spans the back posts with a single slim vertical rod at the center, a pared-down take on the schoolhouse form that keeps sightlines open across a room.

Its light visual weight makes it a good fit where many chairs are packed into a space, such as cafes, patios and food halls, since rows of Room 104 chairs never look heavy. Being all steel, it can be used outdoors and stacks for storage. Finish it in brushed galvanized or gunmetal for an industrial look, or in one of our colors to set a playful tone.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded rather than bolted, tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and it can be used outdoors. The chair stacks for storage, and ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment.
