Schoolhouse Chair – Room 102

The Schoolhouse Chair - Room 102 is an all-steel side chair with a spindle back. Slim vertical rods rise from the seat to a curved top rail, giving the back an open, airy look, while the straight tubular legs and simple seat keep the classic schoolhouse proportions intact.

Because it is all steel, the Room 102 can be used outdoors as well as in, and it stacks for easy storage. Choose a muted powder coat for a vintage cafe look, gunmetal or galvanized for an industrial space, or a custom color to match your brand. It works on patios, in breweries and anywhere a durable, nostalgic chair fits the mood.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded rather than bolted, tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and it can be used outdoors. The chair stacks for storage, and ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): Our full powder coat palette, including the Color Finish Series (soft grays and blues through bright reds, yellows, greens and aqua), the Metal Finish Series (matte gunmetal, brushed galvanized) and Premium Finishes such as dark bronze, rust patina, brushed copper and antique brass. Custom powder coat colors are also available.

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
