Werner Upholstered Stool

The Werner Upholstered Stool is the padded version of our Werner Stool, with the same school-chair lines at bar or counter height. A welded steel frame with angled legs carries an upholstered seat and a floating upholstered back panel on two steel uprights, and a steel footring circles the legs for comfort and strength. The proportions are slim and upright, so a long run of stools still looks orderly.

Shown all in black, it reads crisp and modern, but it can be dressed in leather, faux leather or fabric over any of our standard frame finishes or a custom powder coat color. That flexibility makes it a strong choice for cocktail bars, brewery taprooms, hotel lobby bars and restaurant counters. Built for commercial use

The frame is welded steel, not bolted, for a rigid stool in daily bar service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. Each stool ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): Color Finish Series powder coats in dozens of matte and gloss colors, from black, white and charcoal to brick red, seafoam, steel blue and sunflower; Metal Finish Series in matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized; and Premium Finishes including dark bronze, rust patina, matte red rust, brushed copper and antique brass.

Custom powder coat: custom frame colors are available on request.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): standard and deluxe faux leathers in browns, blacks, grays, blues, greens and vintage finishes.

Fabric (Fabric Option B): velvets in sand, rust, teal, blues, green, black and goldenrod, plus performance fabrics rated 100,000–130,000 double rubs.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

For commercial seating we recommend upholstery rated at 75,000–100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted; this stool requires 1 yard of fabric or 11 square feet of leather. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains the ratings.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
