Santos Stool

The Santos Stool takes the woven, resort-casual look of the Santos Chair up to bar height. A faux woven wicker shell wraps the back and arms in a textured, multi-tone weave, set on a solid teak base with four tapered legs and a footrest for comfort at the bar.

An outdoor upholstered seat cushion, with optional quick dry foam, keeps guests comfortable through a long happy hour. The arms and enveloping back make it feel more like a lounge seat than a perch, which suits rooftop bars, pool bars and steakhouse lounges where guests settle in. Pair it with the Santos Chair to carry one look from the dining terrace to the bar.

Built for commercial use

The teak base is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. The stool is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. Al Fresco products are UV-resistant for year-round outdoor use. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Outdoor fabric (Fabric Option C): A curated selection of performance outdoor fabrics, including Sunbrella, Aprohdite and Cartenza colors.

For commercial seating, we recommend upholstery rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs, and COM is accepted with yardage provided by Designform. See our upholstery double rubs guide.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
