Floyd Stool with Upholstered Seat and Seat Back

The Floyd Stool with Upholstered Seat and Seat Back is the most comfortable version of the Floyd family. The same slim tubular steel frame, with its straight legs and low footrest stretcher, carries a cushioned seat and a fully upholstered back panel, giving the schoolhouse-inspired form a softer, more finished look.

With both seat and back padded, it suits places where guests settle in: hotel bars, restaurant lounges and high-top dining sections. The upholstery can be matched to banquettes or chairs elsewhere in the room, and the dark metal frame keeps the profile light and tidy. It comes in bar and counter heights.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded, not bolted, so there are no joints to work loose under daily bar service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. The foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. Every stool ships fully assembled from the factory, and it is backed by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Finish B): matte black, matte white, matte warm gray, matte silver gray, matte dark gray (sand finish), dark gray, matte orange and army green powder coats.

Wood (Wood Option D): American ash, black painted ash, American white oak and American walnut.

Upholstery: Leather Option A (a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers), Faux Leather Option B (standard and deluxe faux leathers in a broad color range), Fabric Option A (commercial fabrics, tweeds and textures in many colors), or COM (minimums apply). Send us your COM selection and we will give you the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
