Prism Lounge Chair

The Prism Lounge Chair is a graphic, mid-century-inspired lounge chair built on a slim steel frame. Thin steel rods outline the chair in angular lines, angling down from the back to the floor and wrapping forward into open arms topped with wood arm caps. A tall, slightly faceted upholstered back sits above a separate, generously padded seat, and the two can be finished in contrasting materials for a tailored, two-tone look.

With a wide 23.5" seat and a low 15.75" seat height, the Prism invites guests to sink in, while the open frame keeps it visually light. Mix a fabric back with a leather seat, or keep it tonal, and choose from a range of metal colors and wood finishes to suit hotel lobbies, lounges and waiting areas.

Built for commercial use

The Prism's steel frame is welded, not bolted. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Finish Option A): a broad range of color, metal and premium finishes, including matte and gloss colors, gunmetal, brushed galvanized, brushed copper, antique brass, dark bronze and rust patina.

Wood (Wood Option A): teak, oak, European beech, American walnut, ash and stained ash finishes, including chestnut brown, brushed antique cherry, medium brown and antiqued ash.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): a wide selection of standard and deluxe faux leathers in neutrals, browns, greens, blues and vintage finishes.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

Fabric (Fabric Option B): velvets in rich colors plus commercial fabrics rated from 100,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

COM: customer's own material is accepted (minimums may apply).

For commercial use we recommend upholstery rated at 75,000 to 100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage for your material. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains the ratings.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
