Bowman Chair

The Bowman Chair is an outdoor dining arm chair from our Al Fresco line that blends soft, woven texture with warm teak. Its rounded tub back is woven from outdoor rope in an open, basket-like pattern that curves around the sitter and forms the arms, and it sits on four splayed solid teak legs joined to a welded steel frame. A plush seat cushion finishes the chair for comfortable, unhurried dining.

The woven rope is available in white, black, taupe and grey, and the seat cushion can be specified in Sunbrella and other outdoor fabrics with optional quick dry foam. The steel frame comes in a selection of textured and smooth powder coat colors. The Bowman brings a resort feel to terraces, rooftops and pool decks, and its relaxed form works just as well in a sunlit indoor dining room.

Built for commercial use

The Bowman's steel frame is welded, not bolted, and paired with solid teak legs suited to outdoor use. Al Fresco products are UV-resistant for year-round outdoor use. The chair is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory with a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Metal (Metal Option D): white (textured or smooth), taupe gray textured, Prima 2 white, mink brown, medium gray, brown caramel, black satin, black textured and anthracite bronze textured.

Cushion fabric (Fabric Option C): Sunbrella and other outdoor performance fabrics.

Woven rope: white, black, taupe or grey.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
