Stafford Chair

The Stafford Chair is an arm chair with the spirit of a Windsor chair, rebuilt in steel and wood. A solid wood back rest curves around the sitter and runs forward into the arms, supported by a row of slim steel spindles, and it sits above a contoured solid wood seat. The steel legs and stretchers below keep the frame light and open, so the chair looks airy even in a full dining room.

Shown with a brushed brass frame and a light wood seat and back rest, the Stafford can also be specified in black for a more graphic look. The contoured seat and wraparound back make it comfortable for long dinners, and the arms give it a slightly more relaxed, lounge-like feel than a side chair.

Built for commercial use

The Stafford has a welded steel base and seat back rather than bolted connections, so it stays solid under daily commercial use. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
