Alec Chair with Wood Seat

The Alec Chair with Wood Seat is a classic schoolhouse-style dining chair in solid European beech. A curved top rail caps a row of tall vertical slats, giving the back a strong, traditional rhythm, and the slightly taller 35.25" height lends it a bit more presence at the table. Straight legs with stretchers and a shaped wood seat round out a sturdy, no-nonsense design.

The Alec fits pubs, diners, family restaurants, breweries and casual hotel dining where a familiar, durable wood chair is the right call. A dark walnut or mahogany stain leans traditional, while natural or maple feels fresher. Its wood seat wipes clean quickly between turns. The Alec is part of our quick ship program.

Built for commercial use

The Alec uses mortise-and-tenon joinery with very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.
