Alford Chair with Upholstered Seat

The Alford Chair with Upholstered Seat is a clean, European beech dining chair defined by its solid back panel. The tall back curves gently around the sitter and finishes in a squared top edge, giving the chair a crisp, tailored outline. Straight legs with stretchers support a padded upholstered seat, adding comfort to a simple, versatile design.

Its understated shape suits bistros, hotel restaurants, banquet rooms and country club grills, and it works equally well in traditional or contemporary interiors depending on the stain. Pair a walnut or mahogany frame with a deep green or black faux leather seat for a classic look, or choose natural or maple for a lighter feel. The Alford is part of our quick ship program.

Built for commercial use

The Alford is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood stain (Wood Option E): walnut, tobacco, select cherry, rustic oak, natural, maple, mahogany, light cherry and ebony, all on European beech.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option C): a wide palette of commercial faux leathers from our Classic, Jackson and Glaze lines, covering neutrals, browns, blacks, blues, greens and bold accent colors.

This item is in stock in our quick ship program and ships within 2–3 days of order and payment, nationwide. Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
