Gavin Chair

The Gavin Chair is a clean, cafe-style side chair with a straightforward, modern profile. A slim tubular steel frame forms four straight legs and two uprights that carry a broad, gently curved wood veneer back panel, and a matching veneer seat rests on the frame below. The simple pairing of wood and metal lets the powder coat color do the talking, from quiet black to a soft, playful hue.

The curved back and shaped seat are comfortable without upholstery, so the Gavin stays light and easy to clean. It stacks for storage, which makes it practical for cafes, fast casual restaurants, hotel breakfast rooms, campus dining and event spaces that reset often.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded, not bolted. The Gavin is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, ships fully assembled from the factory, and is backed by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish warranty from shipment. It stacks for compact storage, and ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): a wide palette of Color Finish Series powder coats, Metal Finish Series options such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and Premium finishes including dark bronze, rust patina, matte red rust, brushed copper and antique brass.

Wood veneer (Wood Option C): white oak, walnut, red oak, oak, black oak, antiqued willow, antiqued rubber and antiqued maple.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
