Gavin Chair with Upholstered Seat

The Gavin Chair with Upholstered Seat takes our simple cafe-style Gavin and adds a cushioned seat for extra comfort. A slim tubular steel frame with straight legs carries a broad, curved wood veneer back panel, while the seat is upholstered for a softer sit and a more finished look. Paired with a custom powder coat color, the mix of wood, metal and upholstery can be tuned closely to a brand or interior palette.

It is a good fit for restaurants, hotel dining rooms, cafes and campus dining where guests stay longer than a quick coffee. The Gavin with Upholstered Seat stacks for storage, keeping room changeovers simple.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded, not bolted. The chair is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is backed by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. It stacks for compact storage, and ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Finish A): custom powder coat color.

Wood veneer (Wood Option C): white oak, walnut, red oak, oak, black oak, antiqued willow, antiqued rubber and antiqued maple.

Upholstery: Leather Option B (pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown), Faux Leather Option A (standard, deluxe and vintage faux leathers), Fabric Option B (velvets and high-performance fabrics), or COM (minimums apply). Send us your COM selection and we will give you the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Minimum order for this chair is 50 units. Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
